Kawainui Marsh Native Hawaiian Plant Tour

A Kawainui Marsh Native Hawaiian Plant Tour will be conducted by Rick Barboza
of Hui Ku Maoli Ola (Hawaiian Native Plant Nursery) and Chuck “Doc” Burrows,
Hawaiian naturalist, on Saturday March 1st from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Visits
will be to Ulupo Heiau, Na Pohaku o Hauwahine, Kawainui Park and to the Hui
Ku Maoli Ola Nursery to learn about the native Hawaiian plant restoration
occurring in these areas and how native plants are propagated.

The tour is co-sponsored by Ahahui Malama I Ka Lokahi and the Kailua
Hawaiian Civic Club.  Donations of $5 will be accepted.  There will be a
limit of 25 persons and reservations must be made by calling: Kaimi Scudder
