Isaacs elected Co-President of ‘Ahahui Malama i ka Lokahi

Kailua, HI — Charles Lehuakona Isaacs, Jr. of Kailua was elected co-president of ‘Ahahui Malama i ka Lokahi at a meeting of its board of directors on Saturday, May 15, in Kailua.
Isaacs is a project engineer and LEED Accredited Professional with Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co., as well as a former deputy director and operations manager for the Kaho‘olawe Island Reserve Commission. He joins Dr. Chuck Burrows of Nu‘uanu in the co-president role.
“I’m honored to be able to continue serving the goals of ‘Ahahui, including the restoration of Kawainui Marsh, by taking up some of the administrative burden that Doc Burrows has been shouldering,” said Isaacs, who also serves as the group’s treasurer.
In addition to Isaacs’ election, Terry Yasuko Ogawa of Honolulu was elected board secretary at Saturday’s meeting.
