Participate in the planning process for Kawaimui – Hamakua Marsh

The State Division of Forestry & Wildlife in partnership with the Division of State Parks, is updating the master plan for the Kawainui – Hamakua Marsh in Kailua, Oahu.

A draft Master Plan was released to the public for review on May 16, 2014, and there was a 30-day comment period on this draft master plan. Many comments were submitted on the draft plant. Some commented in response to rumors of big developments at Kawainui, which is bogus. Also, an environmental impact statement preparation notice is being prepared and will be published in fall of 2015 which will provide an another chance  for the public to comment on the master plan.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. David Smith of the State DLNR, Division of Forestry and Wildlife at 973-9788.
