On Saturday, June 30th, from 10 am to 12 pm there will be a signing ceremony of the Kawai Nui Marsh bill that transfers management authorities in and around Kawai Nui Marsh. There will also be an acknowledgement of the agreement between the State and the City & County over resource management and ownership issues of Kawai Nui Marsh.

You are invited to attend at Kawai Nui Neighborhood Park (aka Kaha Park) at the foot of Kaha Street in Kailua. Organizations such as Ahahui Malama i ka Lokahi, Kawai Nui Heritage Foundation, Hawaii Audubon Society, Lani-Kailua Outdoor Circle have long sought this important milestone in the restoration of this Internationally Significant Wetland and a National Cultural and Historic District.
